this gun is amazing. I already bought a Well M4 A1 Airsoft Electric Rifle AEG from airsplat and I was really disappointed with the quality of it. The battery gave me problems, and it kept shutting off and not shooting until you jerk it a couple times. But this gun is very realistic and is mostly metal. It shoots through 2 cans and hurts really bad. Buy it, it's way better than most airsoft guns out there.
This is the best gun I ever got. It shoots very fast (20 bbs per second or more). Very accurate. Charge time = 5 hrs first time and 4 hrs the seocnd and the rest. Full metal weighs about 7 pounds. Has hop up options. This gun is the best I've ever seen and $120 is a great deal!!:-)
OK first of all keep in mind "am I buying a 200 dollar Classic Army G36K or am I buying a 34 dollar LPEG?"
Now with dat in mind here are my ratings:
Looks: 4/5 (the plastic parts make it kinda look weird but still accurate)
Durability: 4/5 (surprisingly durable for an LPEG, I accidentally hit the wall with it when I tripped and fell and it was still shooting)
Range: 3/5 (whaddaya expect??? It's a shorty AKS-74U!!!)
Accuracy: 4/5 (at short range you can hit your target a lot of times - at about 40 feet I can hit a person 5 out of 5, and at like 60 ft two out of five)
Rate of fire: 4/5 (beast for an LPEG!!! Not the slow 400 rpm, more like 600-700!!!)
Loud: Yes, somewhat
Light: Yes!!! Best CQB LPEG ever!!!
Mag cap: 150 bbs for the high cap and I've fit about 50 into the lowcap
Battery: 7.2 volt 700 mah, will last you as long as you don't overdo fullauto
FPS: about 230!!! 30 fps more than what the seller claimed!!! What a nice surprise (230 fps will hurt up to about 30 or 40 ft)
Upgradeability: Not really there is only 1 RIS on the bottom for flashlight, laser, handgrip, etc.
Would I recommend it: Yes if you like CQB weapons, but overall a nice backyard battle LPEG you can get for under 50 bucks!!! Get it!!!
this gun is horibble. i was so exited when it came i opened it up and it was not even the rite gun. the next day i started shooting and playing with it and the magazine broke so i fixed it and carried on. so the next day i start to play again and the trigger brakes and it is not fixable i took it all apart to see if i could fix it and every thing fell out. it says that this guns fps is 220 try 120fps.it is the worst, dont buy it save up for a tokyo marui or something like that. i only rated it a 1 because you cant rate it a 0.
This gun is great for the price. It comes with two magazines, which is nice. This gun charges a while but it takes forever to run out of battery. The smaller clip holds 150 bbs and the larger holds 50. The gun can be single or constant fire. It is very accurate and powerful. I am very pleased with the gun. The only reason it has four stars is because it is not the best gun I have. The Pulse R70 M16 by Crossman holds 500bbs and you do not have to wind up anything to make it shoot. The smaller clip, on the AK47 has to be wound up to every twenty or so shots to shoot. But this takes only five seconds. The Pulse R70 is not as accurate I think as the AK47. But if I had to choose between the two guns it would be the M16. Then again, it was $50 imstead of $21 for the AK. This is a great gun for anyone though.
this gun is so sweet. looks almost like the real thing. the only thing bad about it is that you shouldn't drop it otherwise the plastic will break easy on the barrel but anywhere else is tough and sturdy.
This is a great gun. I have had it for a year. The trigger broke but its nothin tape cant fix. I also bought a scope for it. This gun is great if you use extreme carefulness or whatever. I love it
this is an awsome gun except when you get it the the whole aming thing on the front is orange :(
I dont like to be the person who writes the one bad review in the middle of all these good ones, but this gun was bad. The shooting rate changer scratches your gun, the battery is hard to get in, and the clip rate is really skippy and horrible. After i shot about 20-30 shots, which didn't shoot consecutively, the gun made an annoying noise and broke on me.
This was a great gun for the price. I love it. It feels and is solid, and it shoots great. (It really hurts when you get hit with it, too!)
I didnt really know if this gun was good or not since i bought it when there were no reviews. But i was not disappointed. the fully metal gun shoots very accurately and effectively. the extra mag that came with it was a nice feature although i dont need it with the 350 bbs i put in it. Overall good quality gun!
this gun is awesome! it says 320 fps but with .12 bbs it has 400 fps. it says not to use them but i did and it works fine. i highly recomend this gun. the only drawback is
thats right nothing
This gun is a beast! The description says it has some metal parts;it's like all metal parts! It also has an insane shooting range. Plus it's realy heavy. The other day I had a 6 on 6 airsoft battle and absolutly dominated. Everyone ran away from me. Even my own teamates! It's even better with the two hi cap. mags it comes with. The hop-up adjuster is also awsome. Super authentic! The only proplem is the battery. It's kinda hard to get in. In conclusion it's kinda expensive but it is worth every penny!
P.S.: Shipping was extremely fast!
The Tactical UTG AK-47 Paratrooper is the most beautiful thing I have seen and used. Accuracy inside, precision outside. When you first open this gun and break it out, it will shoot at about 300fps and 200ft. I would recommend buying an extra battery if you are a support shooter, the battery will not last too long. Takes longer to charge than anything else. UTG is almost a copy off Tokyo Marui with a fraction of the prices. More bang for your buck man! Trust me UTG is the way to go. The hop up on this gun is designed for the .25g BBs only; no hop up with .2g and no .12g at all should be used.
Pros:
1). Long range and deadly accurate.
2). Comes with: Gun, two magazines, batter/charger, jamming rod, and 3-point tactical sling.
3). Internal and external parts.
4). Tokyo Marui interchangeable.
5). Best small assault rifle in my opinion. (Excluding the AK-47 Commando and "WarHawk" on http://www.shortyUSA.com/)
Cons:
1). Battery time is limited. Buy another for more playtime.
2). In weather temperatures of 38 deg. and lower, the metal trigger can jam, use semi-auto only if happens.
This is an awesome gun. it shoots hard, fast, and accurately. it is mostly metal, and heavy. The adjustable sight for longer distances is quite goodas well. all good in my book. i own all of my friends with this gun. note that my friends all have decent guns, just this one is way the f*ck better.
only one problem. the sling broke quite easily. (part of it is plastic i guess)
buy it!
oh yeah, and the speedloader actually makes loading it slower. but for a penny, why not.
This gun owns and for 100 dollars it is quite a steal. It is extremely powerful truely does shoot 320 fps with .2 gram bb's. Not only does it shoot 320 fps it also shoots with pin point accruracy. Another thing that is great about this gun is it is all metal I can not find a plastic piece on this gun. Also this gun has a metal gear box so it will last forever and it won't break when you drop it. That guy who put a 1 star review is a retard and don't pay attention to him. I bet he didn't even buy the gun. Anyhow if you are done putting money into guns you think are good but actually are not then put a little more money into this gun and it will probably be the last one you buy.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!
this gun is horrible, the people who gave it 5 stars probably work for hotimportoys. The sights are all lose and the magazine is cheap plastic.
It has NO energy output when firing, DO NOT BUY
this gun is the mmost amazing aeg ever and for 89 thats just crazy. i battled a 500 dollar classic army m16 with an upgraded 450 fps spring and this gun fought evenly. when i put it on auto WOW he was in talll grass because we were playing in a forest this gun just mowed him down it acted as a frickin lawn mower. its 450rd clip was amazing too this gun rocks
I brought this gun last week and it arrived in 3 days ! (A for hotimporttoys's shipping) I open it and check it out, WOW very heavy on hand, feels like real and lots of metal parts. Then go for test run, got a nice high cap mag. This gun is STRONG ! definately 350fps with 0.12g and about 300 with 0.2 g bb. All I can say is this gun under $100 is a steal ! get it before it runs out!
First off this gun is strong. its not 380 fps with .2s but its around 300. once you sight it in its pretty acurate, but the thing is, its almost too powerful for its design. on full auto it will slide down into semi. i figured, ok if i duct tape the selector switch itll be fine. i ended up stripping the selector switch. i sent it back and they replaced it, after seven weeks. this new one came today and it works, but the pin for the mag release keeps rattling out of place and falling out. not a big deal but still it shouldn't happen. if your looking for a gun withpure power this a good one, other than that, it kinda stinks.
this gun is ok. i dont think that it goes 380 fps. its more like 300. the battery takes a while to charge like all airsoft batteries. lastly the gun is not all metal yet it is quite heavy. i am not that big so the gun is a little hard to hold. in the end it is a good gun but it has its flaws like everything else in this world.
p.s. it is priced to high i think
This is one of the best airsoft rifles I've used to date. If the hopup is adjusted correctly and it's lubricated where the bbs feed, it will shoot 170 feet accurately. Don't listen to that asshate that posts about how bad airsplat is, he probably works for HotImportToys. I highly recommend it.
I bought a sight from Airsplat for my son's airsoft rifle as a Christmas gift. The screws were too short to attach it to his Kitty Kat ( a shortened M-4) airsoft rifle's weaver rail. Yes, I could go out and find screws the proper length, but I though I'd make Airsplat do their job.
So, after several e-mails with the service department, they shipped screws that they claimed were the right size. Wrong. The diameter of the new screws is so big they won't fit through the mounting bracket on the sight. Obviously it was too hard to try this out in the store to see if it would really mount on a weaver rail before selling the product or when they sent replacement screws. Take a pass on Airsplat.
I don't personally own this gun, but my friend does and we tried it out in his backyard. It probably shoots between 150 - 200 FPS, it shoots really fast and relatively accurately. The only thing is that this gun is loud. It's good for playing in your back yard but I'm not so sure how it would be compared to a lot of other guns that you can get. The only reason I'm reviewing this and not some of the other guns on this site is because well this is the only one I've ever tried. I suggest (if you can find it) buy it in the store sure in case you would like to return it. It was $35 in the store which is cheaper if you add the shipping and handling to the gun that you buy off of this site. HOPE THIS HELPED. =)
P.S. My friend got his Ak-47 from the store (Sports Authority) but his gun and this gun are the same ones.
It arrived broken and Becker refused to exchange. Thank goodness for Amazon's A-Z return policy.
This gun is a DECENT gun. However it is not the uber sniper rifle airsplat makes it out to be. While airsplat is a decent company, this gun has been improperly labeled as at 380 fps w/ .20. In reality it shoots about 310 fps. My friend owns this rifle and we tested it, it shot about 25 feet short of my AGM M14 AEG which is 330 fps. So please keep in mind, it is a very good weapon, however the fps is not as advertised.
First off, the gun did not ship with the advertised 250 high cap magazine. The magazine that it came with, held 30 or so BBs, and was broken, which caused 2 BB's to shoot out at a time on semi-auto, reducing the FPS to way below the 350 mark. It could barely shoot through a piece of paper. I did order a high cap magazine seperately, and that fixed the problem, but the gun still seems underpowered. The gun itself, had many scratches, and peeling paint on it.
The screw, which kept the bipod from moving around, fell out very soon after I took it out of the box. Also, the plastic hop up adjustment knob, broke off very easily, so I have to use a screw driver to adjust the hop up now. The gun does seem to be pretty accurate, however.
All in all, the product seemed to be more of a dissapointment. I don't plan on buying from the seller again, especially since there was a label on the box which basically bribed me to give Hot Import Toys a 5 star review.
ok this gun was good for about 1 week than the saftey broke and it wouldnt fire so i fixed that but then the bullets wouldent fire and if you hold it upside down it will fire but then the trigger fell of! dont buy this gun!!!!!
The gun looks and feels great, but the battery didn't hold a charge...company replaced very quickly. Once that was fixed the gun didn't leave safety mode...then the gun started only working on semi-automatic and the miraculously worked for a few days and has started being tempermental again. My son and his friends are constantly frustrated with the gun.
Its the most powerful gun I have. I had a war with it and won, just with that gun!!!!!!
First off, let me say that this gun looks and feels great. Mostly metal with a very solid feel. If you're looking for a gun that will impress your friends and look great on a shelf somewhere, this is it. In combat, however, it doesn't stand up so well. The battery charges fast, but wears out even faster. It sounds impressive, and just the intimidation factor can be a major help. This also, however, doesn't last long. You can play maybe one game before your buddies start to realize that your "awesome" gun only fires about once every five shots. It doesn't even do much better on single shot. Do yourself a favor; buy something worth the money, because this isn't.
This gun is great. Better than the tokyo marui. It shoots fast and hard. Lots of metal parts. ONLY 1 bad thing, the clips, they misfire on fullauto quite a bit but not on semi-auto. Every thing else works fine and i love it
This airsoft rifle is very solid. Much of it is crafted of steel (although it's plastic that's plated with steel, I'm told) and feels fairly hefty in your hands. Now I know that there are a lot of AEG's on the market right now, but I wanted my first AEG to be a good one, so I chose one that fit to the aesthetics I desired and the power I wanted. I was not disapointed. Aesthetically, I didn't feel the need to spray paint any of the parts. (e.g. there are no clear plastic magazines or things of that nature.) This rifle packs quite a punch too, with no upgrading at all (although you can still upgrade it if you need more power). The hop-up adjustment is easily accessible for some on-the-fly distance/accuracy modifications. One catch is that this gun is very long, so don't expect it to work well in tight quarters like building interiors. I was also pleased to find that there are TWO magazines included with this rifle, and they are both high capacity (around 600). I have never needed more than one, but it's a nice bonus you won't have to buy later. I purchased an 8.6v 7 Sub-C cell battery, and it fit nicely (if a bit snug) into the buttstock without any modifications at all. I haven't taken apart the gear box or any of the internal parts as of yet, so I can't comment on their durability. I can however inform you that the selector switch (for Safety, Automatic, and Semi-Auto) worked its way loose every time I used it. The switch itself has a little knob that will click into place on small grooves on the gun stock, so you know clearly what setting you're on. The disadvantage is that the switch had to be screwed down fairly tight for that function to work, and the screw that held it in place would turn slightly every time I would change settings. However, this problem was easily fixed with a dab of BLUE threadlock (Never Use Red, it won't come apart unless you heat it with a blowtorch). But the BLUE threadlock secured the screw in place (and it is still manually removable) solving the only problem I've had with this gun. Remember that I am no expert, and I found other reviews on the web for this product before I purchased it (actually it's an ICS AK74M.) I recommend you check them out and decide for yourself.
Dude, it is very clear that you have no idea what you are talking about. Any airsoft gun under 100$ is guaranteed to be of VERY poor quality. A Tokyo Mauri will last you forever if left stock (airsoft jargon for unmodified) while a WELL or Boyi will break almost instantly. So please, do not post a review if you do not know what you are talking about.
I've had mine for years and it's never given me any problems. First two reviews summed it up real well. As an owner of several real steel models of this firearm, I can tell you the accuracy of reproduction in this airsoft replica are nearly perfect, nearly ever part are the exact same dimensions as the real one. As for the review below complaining about the price of the airsoft being more expensive then the a real variant of the AK, that's great, but you can't go have a fun weekend of you and your friends shooting each other with the real one can you? And as for a Romanian AK model (yet another country that uses a knockoff AK design the russians gave them to cheaply manufacture) being able to be imported for 300USD (which will surely be Semi-Automatic), you can find a KNOCKOFF of one of these Tokyo Marui AK47's that's only single shot too for about $65 if you want.
You should NEVER pay more than $100 for ANY airsoft rifle/gun, but especially this one. Here's why:
A REAL AK-47 that can legally be imported into the US = $300 plus shipping. So around $350 for the real thing. I understand that most people looking at this airsoft rifle aren't looking for a real weapon that fires live ammunition; however, you must take into consideration that this is a TOY, and no TOY should EVER cost as much as the real thing.
Ok I had a choice between this or the ICS M16 A3, though at first i was in favor of getting the M16, after holding it and firing it i realized it wasnt all that great. Don't get me wrong it's good but ICS doesn't manufacture great quality AEG's, though they are good trust me when i say that Tokyo Marui creates quality products that no other company has been able to surpass, and i mean that when i say it. First of all the looks are great it is absolutely the most awesome design ever created for Airsoft or for a REAL firearm. Though some rumors have speculated to this AEG being in-accurate as are some of it's real counter parts but that is COMPLETELY UN-TRUE. This is my 4th AEG and trust me had i bought this as my first i wouldn't have had to keep experimenting to find the best. Sure you can go with an M4 or an M16 but theyre designs are just so plain, they have no personality or anything unique about them.So for one thing it is VERY accurate even at full auto. It's power is amazing,I shot a card-board box from 10 meters away and it pierced both sides of the half inch cardboard. As for reliability don't even bother Tokyo Marui makes the most reliable AEG's and this thing will NEVER fail you in battle.
