This is a good player/receiver for the price. The one knob volume audio menu is great. The display is exceptionally easy to read. The FM broadcast reception is very good but the AM reception is weak. It is hard to criticize this player/receiver as it offers so many excellent features and truly outstanding performance for the price, but there are always one of two areas for improvement.
This thing is hot and performs really well. The animations are cool, and although you won't be staring at them after you've had the unit more than two weeks, they don't really get old either...they're pleasant :) The sound is powerful and there are some good user options (e.g., lets you convert speakers to sub if you want...let's you hook up mp3 player...tilt screen, etc...)
Mine has held up really well the year or so I've had it...
Review is for the 3303 model that i got upgraded to by the seller, cause the 1303 got lost in transit and was the last one.Its an awesome receiver/cd/mp3 player especialy considering the great price. It has read my mp3 discs flawlesly so far and radio reception in great. The only flaw that i can find is that the display is really bright and theres no adjustment for it though it can be shut off completely,it can be distracting driving at night. All in all i think its a best buy in its class and performs like a much higher priced unit.
For the money, you just couldn't beat it, lots of features and easy for anybody to use. I self-installed it and the directions were just perfect.
Great unit except the volume knob is too small. I have the unit in my work van and I modified the knob so I would not be as likely to hit other controls and still easily adjust the volume.
My husband was able to install the cd player himself. If you are not a handy man this is for you. I felt the sound could have been better otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
After thirteen months, my display died. Also, the lights on this face plate are wayyy too bright. I've had to cover the blue buttons with electrical tape because they're too bright and there's no way to dim them.
it is a good cd player works great and sounds good the only downfall of tis produsct it not being able to dim the light on the keys durin noghttime driving it can be annoying and destracting with the keys bein so bright other than that it was a great cd player for the price that was paid
The product is a good one with the exception of one hitch. I have a 95 cavalier and the stereo wont completely fit into the spot it's supposed to go. I dont have really any experience installing my own stereos so I was wondering if anybody has any tips.
I really like this system. Took me about 30 mins to install the stero for my 1992 nissan sentra. I did not even need to install the harness. I recommend you get it for the price.
I own a Mobile D.J. business in California and am extremely pickey about the music I play/listen too and THIS unit is fantastic!!
The clarity is unbelievable-the bass is thumping in my Ford Explorer (stock speakers, to boot!) and the look is not "busy" as other overly priced stereo units with so many graphic designs and pulsating lights on the screen that you don't know where to find the track number, much less where the "Play" button is located.
And the best part? With rebate, it only cost me $69.00 plus tax! What a bargain.
Installation was a breeze in my vehicle-wires and manual were very easily laid-out/marked and my only fault was that I failed to know that my Explorer has an amplifier installed into the rear side wall and after installing the unit, received NO audio whatsoever-after calling a local installation company (Circuit City) the tech asked me to connect the amp. leads together and this should work-seeing that there is a factory installed amp which, if not connected, will disallow the speaker to produce music. After getting this information, I disassembled my unit, put the two wires together and that was all it took-the sound is extraordinary; especially for such a low cost unit. I recommend this to ANYONE interested in getting a great unit. (Downside? Just one...the Power and Loudness and Audio, etc. buttons are very narrow and go around the edge of the volume button, so if you have large fingers, it's going to be difficult to access these quickly or easily, but if you can work around this, you'll be very satisfied with your purchase.
Great Screen, Good functionalty, 3 sets of Preamp outs, Sub, Front and Rear, Looks good and sounds good...
I had a little trouble at the beginning with the installation but was because I didn't have the Harness Kit for the Car. Right now it's 100% finish the installation and the sound and functions are great.
It's simple to use...has a great sound at at econical price...what more could you ask for. I love it!!!
